Dr. Jennifer Nichols

Dr. Jennifer Nichols graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University. Her training included rotations at the Grand Rapids Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, WoW Vision Therapy, Grand Rapids Ophthalmology, and the St. Mary’s Diabetes and Endocrine Center. Her professional interests include pediatrics, glaucoma management, and the medical treatment of dry eye syndrome.

Dr. Nichols became interested in pediatric vision care after discovering that her 17 month old son needed eyeglasses. Once he began wearing glasses, his motor and social skills improved markedly. This experience has made Dr. Nichols a strong advocate for the American Optometric Association’s (AOA) InfantSEE program that provides no-cost vision exams to infants from 6 to 12 months old.
